The Mission of GAIN is to make a positive difference to the lives of children, young people and communities and to create a socially invested movement that improves opportunities for this and future generations.
Our aim is to encourage everybody to see that investing in future generations is a shared responsibility and that by using their skills and abilities each can make a positive difference to the lives of children and others.
We are determined to make a lasting impact. By utilising the strengths of innovative programs and community partnerships, we strive to create a brighter experiences for today and better futures for generations to come.

Professor Karen Graham
Bio
Karen is an Emeritus Professor of Childhood and Family Studies and Work-Based Learning and now works nationally and internationally as a consultant.
Karen has experience in leading award winning early years day-care and education, teaching and advisory work in schools, research, higher education and national qualification reform. She has led a national reviews of ECEC provision, Chaired the Parenting Expert Advisory Group for Welsh Government and the development of the first national Quality Framework for Early Childhood Play, Learning and Care, Wales. She has been a regular contributor to Welsh Government Boards.
Karen has been the recipient of a number of awards for contributions to research and to sector development . She is a founding member of the World Forum Foundation Children’s Rights Working Group, is the World Forum Foundation National Representative for Wales, UK and founder of the Global Action for Impact Network (GAIN).

Doctor Swati Poppat
Bio
Dr. Swati Popat Vats, President of Podar Education Network, is a global educator with over 32 years of experience and holds many important positions in the field of early childhood education. She is the President of the Early Childhood Association of India, the national representative, and a member of the planning committee of the World Forum Foundation and a member of the global Think Tank of Kidzania.She helped set up the Euro Kids chain and was the expert behind TATASky’s Actve Whiz kids channel. She recently set up the world’s first video based parenting website ‘Born Smart’ which helps parents understand the importance of brain development in the first 1000 days (birth to 3 years). Dr. Swati has authored several books for parents, teachers and children and regularly blogs, tweets about childhood, parenting and child rights.

Senator Margo Greenwood
Bio
Prof. Margo Greenwood is an internationally recognized and highly respected Indigenous scholar. She has worked at the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) since 1997 and is a full professor in UNBC’s Education program and the Academic Leader of the National Collaborating Centre for Indigenous Health, hosted by UNBC. Earlier this year, she was appointed interim Scientific Director of the Institute of Indigenous Peoples’ Health with the Canadian Institutes of Health Research.
Dr. Greenwood is an Officer of the Order of Canada and the recipient of many distinctions, including the Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal for her work with Indigenous and non-Indigenous children in early childhood education; the Perry Shawna Leadership and Advocacy Award from the British Columbia Aboriginal Child Care Society; the National Aboriginal Achievement Award (now Indspire Award) for Education from the National Aboriginal Achievement Foundation; and the Confederation of University Faculty Associations of British Columbia’s Academic of the Year Award.
